As has become the custom, the Bath Meeting of the Society took place at the American Museum near Bath on the 11th of October. It was a glorious autumn day when the speaker, David Clapham of Glasgow and his wife were welcomed. The title of David’s talk was ‘Claphams’s Presumptuous Task’. The lunch was preceded by the delayed Annual General Meeting, at which it was proposed that the London and Edinburgh meetings would be biennial whilst both Lichfield and Auchinleck would continue to be annual venues.
