At this year’s well attended annual Auchinleck House meeting on the 5th of November, the speaker was Dane Love, the Auchinleck local historian, who presented a well-researched study of Boswell family heraldry. Chairman David and Joan were as usual our gracious hosts.
As has become the custom, the Bath Meeting of the Society took place at the American Museum near Bath on the 11th of October. 16 May 2015: Andrew Boswell spoke on behalf of Dr Cecil Courtney at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London
On Saturday the 16th of May 2015 we returned to the Connaught Rooms in London for lunch after which Dr Andrew Boswell read Dr Courtney’s speech as he was ill. On the 2nd of March 2015 at Lichfield, owing to indisposition, the Speaker was unable to attend but kindly sent his speech to Derek Walker who read it with a dramatic interlude with Richard Davies which was well received.
